Welcome to the brand dedicated to making your life easier

Introducing the Great British brand guaranteed to keep you stylish – no matter what life throws at you

Every gentleman deserves to have a great tailor on hand at any moment to create him a bespoke piece of tailoring. But in a world where everything is available at the click of a button and where due care and attention hasn’t always been taken over the fabric quality and the expertise applied, it can sometimes be impossible to know where to start.

Welcome, gentlemen, to Clements and Church, British tailoring’s best kept secret. Founded by Mark Nash and Aaron John over a decade ago, the brand is all about ease of use and accessibility. Proving a space in the centre of the Capital is by no means imperative to make a brand like this work, Clements and Church have focussed their efforts on building up a name for themselves outside of London in cities such as Birmingham and Oxford, as well as through the use of their unique concept: the travelling tailor (more on that later).

Sartorial excellence is at the heart-centre of everything that the brand stands for and creates

Sartorial excellence is at the heart-centre of everything that the brand stands for and creates. Aaron John tells us that “at Clements and Church, we believe every element of a gentleman’s outfit is as important as the next. We therefore take pride in every clients’ appearance, making sure the sleeve length, chest drape and inside leg hang perfectly. Every gentleman is a reflection of our brand and what we stand for.”

Where other brands might be interested in making a quick buck without attention to detail, Clements and Church put the details – no matter how big or small – at the forefront of the brand that they’ve created. “We have the facility to use workshops in Birmingham, Yorkshire, Italy or Holland. We decide on the workshop based on the needs of the customer, timescale and the quality of make he wishes to invest in” says Aaron.

Each Clements and Church suit is custom made using premium fabrics sourced globally from the best cloth mills, who are renowned for their attention to detail. Clements and Church suits combine the perfect fit and sartorial excellence. “Each fabric is carefully designed based on the seasonal trends and archive inspiration. Last season, we looked into the 1950s for style and fabric inspiration,” Aaron continues.

The process is lengthy, but that’s where you know you’re investing is something more than worthy: Aaron tells us “believe it or not, we actually start our design process around 14 months before the end customer even sees the finished garment.”

Think this all sounds like a concept you don’t really have time for? Let us stop you, gentlemen, and bring you onto the unique concept of the Clements and Church Travelling Tailor: an expect who visits either the home or place of work of a client at whatever time and whichever day is convenient to him. Each chosen tailor then provides a comprehensive consultation and advice to each client, determining the best fit and style in a comfortable and familiar surrounding.

The idea behind the concept is simple: “in this day and age, time is a commodity that is hard to come by. At Clements and Church we thrive to take the stress and hassle out of compiling a new work outfit or wardrobe for a holiday or special occasion. We hope to put the enjoyment back into retail therapy.”

The ease of the Travelling Tailor and the distinction in their attention to detail means that the brand is a favourite amongst famous sportsmen who, due to their body shapes, will typically struggle to find the perfect suit fit. On this, Aaron discloses that “the pressures of being a professional sportsman today far outweigh the pressures of watching sport. Like businessmen, these gentlemen are incredibly time poor. They strive for perfection in their attire as they do in their sport.”
