The Diary: Oliver Brown x Gentleman's Journal event celebrates twenty-five-years of tailoring excellence
To celebrate Oliver Brown's twenty-fifth anniversary, the tailoring house joined Gentleman's Journal and guests for an evening of drinks and canapés at their Sloane Square store.
The festive feeling could hardly be ignored at Oliver Brown's Sloane Square store last Wednesday, where we hosted an exclusive drinks reception to celebrate their twenty-fifth-anniversary. Guests were also able to explore the new FW23 collection, which, as usual, is defined by style over trend—with the tailoring house and haberdashery sourcing the finest materials and crafting them to produce a love letter to traditional tailoring, stitched with a quarter-century of savoir-faire.
Attentive waiters in dinner suits (courtesy of the house, of course) brought over delicious canapés to guests, including tuna tartare with sesame oil, lime and chimichurri, chargrilled hanger steak, and chargrilled courgette ribbons—to name a few. Appetisers were washed down with glasses of delicious Nyetimber sparkling wine, as well as MOTH’s quality canned cocktails: either their Negroni or Margherita options (the latter in a salted rim glass). The large drinks table also featured Gin and Tonic, with Monkey 47 gin topped with a delicious range of Double Dutch tonic water flavours.
Friends of Gentleman’s Journal and Oliver Brown gathered into the night in conversation and good spirits, many dressed in their finest dinner suits. What better way to welcome in the festive season, and celebrate Oliver Brown's birthday?
