The Diary: Gentleman’s Journal 10th Anniversary Director’s Lunch
To celebrate a decade of brand relationships, we invited our most esteemed commercial partners to Home House for a Christmas lunch…
What do sophisticated Swiss watches, trailblazing motor cars and marvellous menswear all have in common? If you’d visited Home House yesterday — the historic Georgian townhouse and private members club based in London’s Marylebone — you’d have found the answer. For the best and brightest in these industries and more came together on Tuesday, over flutes fizzing with Louis Roederer, to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Gentleman’s Journal.
At our annual ‘Director’s Lunch’, we curated a collection of our most trusted, time-honoured associates and brands to reflect our most exciting projects and partnerships of the last decade. We shared plans for the years ahead over a delicious Christmas dinner, paired with wines, in the decadently decorated venue. Guests included representatives from some of Britain’s best heritage companies, such as Land Rover, Floris, Cheaney and Edward Green — and many entrepreneurs behind younger enterprises, from Heath and Blackacre to L’Estrange and The Last Drop Distillers.
We also welcomed delegations from Switzerland’s finest watch brands, including Chopard, Rolex, Tudor and Patek Philippe — as well as German gin-maker Monkey 47 and Sweden’s Polestar electric cars. All of these businesses (and many more) have contributed to the successful first decade of Gentleman’s Journal, and we have wholly and humbly appreciated their company along the way. So raise a glass with us, and toast to many more years of working together.
