The Diary: A quintessentially British picnic with Asprey

Last week Asprey threw a beautiful picnic at Heckfield Place, with Morgan cars chauffeuring guests to and from the special event

Renowned British brand Asprey has been specialising in jewellery, leather, silver, crystal, china, and bespoke items since it was established in 1781. Therefore its credentials as a renowned British purveyor of high-end luxury goods make it the perfect brand to put on a lavish summer picnic, featuring some of its iconic products, of course.

With the weather now opportune for outdoor activities and picnics, last week Asprey organised a special lunch at the stunning Heckfield Place, with guests including Indre Serpytyte, Matilda Lowther, Greta Bellamacina and Imogen Kwok all driven from London to the event in Hampshire in two beautiful (British made) Morgan cars.

While enjoying their welcome drinks in the dining room upon arrival, guests were given a warm welcome by the hostess Daisy Knatchbull, founder of women’s tailoring house The Deck on Savile Row. The event continued with lunch in the walled garden on a special table designed by Max Hurd, one of the guests at the picnic. After lunch, the group moved to the pavilion by the lake, where they had a chance to relax while playing backgammon on finely-crafted Asprey sets, laid out on the brand’s signature picnic blankets.

Photographer Candice Lake captured the spirit of the day with a series of photographs that are treasured memories for all.

What a way to spend a sunny afternoon!

Till next time…
