Royal Ascot blends world-class racing with unforgettable fine dining

Each summer, Royal Ascot captivates attendees and observers alike with its iconic blend of pageantry, style and world-class racing – a tradition steeped in over 300 years of heritage. But beyond the sporting prowess and regal fanfare, there is an equally compelling draw: an extraordinary culinary showcase that runs the gamut from street food to fine dining.

This year’s event, which takes place from the 17th to 21st June, will feature a remarkable line-up of renowned chefs whose restaurants collectively hold an unprecedented 29 Michelin stars – the most ever in Royal Ascot’s prestigious history, and indeed for any sporting event worldwide.

At the heart of the Royal Enclosure, Raymond Blanc OBE – who is celebrating his tenth year as a chef-in-residence – returns to the sixth-floor Panoramic Restaurant, where he will craft a sophisticated four-course luncheon. Meanwhile, Simon Rogan, a pioneer of the farm-to-fork movement and Chef Owner of L’Enclume in the Lake District, leads the Parade Ring Restaurant with a five-course à-la-carte offering rooted in sustainable British produce. French culinary icon Yannick Alléno, who holds 15 Michelin stars, is making his Royal Ascot debut with an alfresco pop-up experience inspired by his London bar, Bar Antoine at Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane.

This year also marks the debut of Beaverbrook Balloons, a new alfresco dining experience in the Royal Enclosure Gardens that offers guests the opportunity to dine in beautiful stationary hot air balloons. Nestled in the sunny Lavender Courtyard near the track, these charming balloons provide stunning views of the racecourse. Choose from a brunch or lunch picnic curated by Michelin-starred chef Tom Shepherd or indulge in afternoon tea, meticulously led by Benoit Blin, Head Pastry Chef at Belmond Le Manoir and judge on Bake Off: The Professionals.

Royal Ascot’s gastronomic excellence also extends beyond silver service to more casual options. The Village Enclosure offers a dynamic street food scene where gourmet meets grassroots. From juicy burgers to the finest fish and chips, there’s something for every craving. And to wash it down, what else but champagne from Moët & Chandon’s trackside champagne bar?

Whether you’re trackside in morning dress or savouring canapés between races, Royal Ascot 2025 promises a dining experience as refined and exhilarating as the sport it celebrates. In this rarefied blend of haute cuisine and high stakes, every bite is as memorable as the finish line.
