Royal Ascot: Where racing meets revelry

Royal Ascot: Where racing meets revelry

From regal processions to lively DJs and sing-alongs, discover how Royal Ascot transforms into a festival of culture and entertainment beyond the track

Royal Ascot may be renowned for its world class racing – and there is no denying that this is racing at its most exquisite – but the fun doesn’t end at the track.

Ascot is actually a place to marvel at and its history is unrivalled when it comes to obscurities that you'll want to impress your friends with on race day. Ascot Racecourse has been in operation since 1711 when Queen Anne rode out from Windsor Castle and declared this area of East Cote “ideal for horses to gallop at full stretch”.

And from the moment the gates open, the 179-acre expanse of meticulously manicured grounds comes alive with music, spectacle and celebration. Each enclosure hosts a variety of live performances – from traditional brass bands to top DJs. The iconic Royal Procession, a highlight of the event, adds a touch of regal grandeur, with the royal carriages making their way along the straight mile, drawing cheers from the crowd. Post-race, guests are invited to gather around the Bandstand in the Queen Anne enclosure, where classics such as “Land of Hope and Glory”, “My Way” and “We’ll Meet Again” will be performed by The Band of the Household Cavalry and John Park.

In the Village Enclosure, live music will play throughout the day, and as the racing draws to a close, the celebrations only ramp up, with top DJs and live acts to keep celebrations going well into the evening. One Night in Nashville, an iconic experience, will round out the day in true festival style, performing country music hits from the likes of Carrie Underwood, Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash and Chris Stapleton.

If karaoke is more your vibe, hit up the Windsor Enclosure for Massaoke, the world’s biggest sing-along sensation. Warm up your vocal chords and prepare to belt out iconic anthems from across the decades.

From elegant daytime charm to evening revelry, this year’s Royal Ascot is set to be a full sensory experience that goes far beyond the grandstand. Whether you're sipping champagne to a jazz soundtrack or dancing to a live DJ set, it’s an unforgettable celebration of British culture, style, and entertainment.
