Our Favourite Reactions to “Pomicide”

You may have noticed, but the cricket is going quite well from an English standpoint. In an Ashes series seemingly incapable of close games, England took took to field yesterday unsure as to which way the fourth test would swing the series. Ninety minutes, the sort of time Geoffrey Boycott would take to get into double figures, is all it took to be pretty sure. Australia collapsed like a blanket fort, sat on by the fat child of Stuart Broad’s consistent thunderbolts. As with any shocking incident (Man U. 8-2 Arsenal, the announcement of Batfleck) the internet rose as one to be hilarious. Here’s our pick of the best reactions to what the Australian media are calling “Pomicide”.

With 5 wickets for just 21 runs, the local fuzz were getting worried.

If you were trying to explain 60 all-out to a tragically non-cricket-loving companion, this may help.

To sum up, we’d be as shocked as Stuart, the God of Cricket if Australia come back from this.

But please, let’s all remember that this isn’t funny… except it really is.
