The Hertz Road Trip Planner brings together 26 bespoke routes across three different regions of the US. Providing recommendations for iconic and off-the-beaten track routes – not to mention offering downloadable maps and insider’s guides to the best pit stops including the States’ biggest landmarks, most notable historical and cultural locations as well as must-see hidden gems.
The Hertz tool allows the user to select from a range of different interests including culture, food, nature, history and shopping. It will then suggest the ideal tailor-made route, outlining details of both your starting and end point, distances between points of interests and recommended durations at each custom-picked stop off.
What’s more, suggestions for places along the way, from quirky pop-culture sites to locations of historical interest, will be available for your perusal.
Such points include the hometown of Kurt Cobain and inspiration for Springfield, the hometown of The Simpsons on the ‘Pop Culture Cruisin’ route from Aberdeen down the West Coast to Los Angeles. Or take a step back in time and explore the underworld hangouts of Gotti’s New York and Capone’s Chicago on the Grit, Gangsters and Gasoline tour from the Big Apple to the Windy City.
Alternatively, plot your ultimate thrill seeking road trip with the Roller Coaster Tour from Wisconsin to New Jersey or experience the Sounds of the South and see live music from Tennessee – Louisiana.
