Done out in moleskin – a mélange material that’s appreciated for its brushed feel – these autumn/winter staples are championed as a smarter take on the label’s The Easies, and are delineated by their slightly wider silhouette and slew of smart details. Notably, the waistband is elasticated, a feature that dials up the comfort factor and whose ribbed appearance adds a touch of texture, and the zip fly has an engraved front-closure button. Belt loops also add subtle, dressed-up touches.
For stowing away any small essentials, there’s the brand’s signature hidden zip pocket, as well as a single-welt back pocket complete with magnetic fastener. Meanwhile, whereas other collections by MR MARVIS comprise designs that are made in vivid, bright colours, The Smart Easies are largely dominated by grey hues, something that emphasises the work-attire feel.
The overall appearance is a clean, dialled-down set of trousers that work well in the boardroom, at the weekend and occasions in between.
