Henley Royal Regatta x Hackett bring back vintage boating style

The acclaimed boating event announces their first official clothing partner

For the first time in the famed boating event’s illustrious history, Henley Royal Regatta have announced their first official clothing partner; Hackett London.

The Regatta is world renowned for holding the title of the most prestigious rowing event on earth. Since its inception in 1839, the event has maintained standards and an impeccable reputation by enforcing a strict and sartorial dress code. As such, by the water, every summer, the finest efforts are made by athletes and spectators alike.

178 years ago, gentlemen wore striped suit jackets whilst rowing in order to keep warm on the crisper mornings along the river – and to be easily spotted by the crowds during the race. Fast forward to today, and Hackett have played homage to this original uniform by creating a collection including striped flannel jackets and clubhouse printed ties.

Jeremy Hackett, Co-Founder of Hackett London, has described the partnership as a natural step for the brand due to their well-respected position within the rowing community.

The partnership emphasises the brand’s ability to provide suitable attire for gentleman across all sporting and social occasions, whilst keeping their offering in-line with their bespoke reputation.

The capsule collection is one of utmost class, including striped light chino trousers, cotton shirts and regatta-inspired sportswear; offering premium attire for one of the most premier events in the British sporting summer calendar.

The collection is now available for gentleman to purchase from Hackett’s flagship store and online at hackett.com.
