Gentleman’s Journal Bermuda competition winner announced

A week in Bermuda promises some well-earned winter sun. But for who?

Earlier this year, Gentleman’s Journal teamed up with Bermuda to offer you a chance to win a free holiday to this incredible island. The prize, which includes a five-night stay at the Grotto Bay Beach Resort – on a lush tropical estate alongside dramatic caves and acres of woodland preserves, and return flights – has now been won. The lucky winner has now been announced – and we’re thrilled to reveal that Chris Greatorex is off to Bermuda. We’re excited to hear all about his trip to the luxury island and make sure to follow Chris on his new Twitter to see everything he gets up to during his time there – we’re hoping to see many pictures!

Chris will enjoy the Grotto Bay Beach Resort, known for its unique Natura Spa, set upon floating pontoons on the underground lake amidst the stalagmites and stalactites of Prospero’s Cave and the crystal clear natural pool of the Cathedral Cave.  Scattered over 21 acres, sloping down towards the water’s edge, with three private beaches overlooking the turquoise waters dotted with small islands.

It also offers a wide range of activities including sailing, kayaking, paddleboarding and motorboat hire. The stunning setting will make you feel relaxed in a luxurious environment – what more could you want?

Bermuda is fast-becoming one of the most in-demand destinations in the world. Not only does this Atlantic island hold a certain mystic and beautiful scenery like you’ve never seen before. Bermuda’s adventurous spirit is reflected in its hosting of the 35th America’s Cup, presented by Louis Vuitton, which commenced this weekend (and runs until 27 June). Known as the F1 of sailing, some of the world’s best sailors, including Sir Ben Ainslie and his British team Land Rover BAR, will battle it out on The Great Sound over the next four weeks in their foiling catamarans.
