Enter the Gentleman’s Journal travel photography competition

Do you have an eye for a good shot? Do your Instagram travel snaps get as many double-taps and genuine admiration as seething envy? Do you wonder what magic you could make happen with a fantastic new camera, used by the very best in their field? You know – one that isn’t attached to your phone? We’ve teamed up with luxury camera kings Leica to find the next travel photographer.

We want to see your very best travel shots. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been to Cuba, Cape Cod or Coniston Water – we’re looking for images that make your friends jealous, tell spilling stories or simply whisper in our ears, “Wish you were here.” Need some tips? Leica C-Lux

You don’t need a professional piece of kit to enter, just a phone with a sharp camera and an Instagram account. Saying that, impress us with your entry and the winner will score their very own Leica C-Lux – in Midnight Blue and complete with case and strap. What’s more, we’ll even add in two hours of bespoke tuition to help you get even better.

To enter, upload your very best travel snaps and tag @LeicaUK and @thegentsjournal with the hashtag #GJTraveller.

A shortlist of entrants will then be selected and the winner will be chosen by renowned street photographer and photojournalist Alan Schaller.

Alan Schaller: “I am excited to be judging the inaugural Gentleman’s Journal travel photography competition. I am fortunate to have the opportunity to travel all around the world shooting with my trusty Leica cameras. Travel and street photography are subjects I am very much impassioned by, so I am looking forward to seeing the variety of interpretations of what travel photography is in the submissions.”

Submit your #GJTraveller entries by 23:59 on Thursday 4 October. The winner will then be announced online and in the November/December issue of Gentleman’s Journal.
