Where do you host a party for one of the world’s oldest and most prestigious watch brands and the world’s leading superyacht brand? Well — London’s number one member’s club of course!
Last Thursday we headed to the rooftop of 5 Hertford Street to celebrate the launch of the Vacheron Constantin Overseas collection and the start of the Superyacht Summer season.
Fresh from the roaring success of our recent outing in Cannes, Gentleman’s Journal played host to the great and good of London with an intimate rooftop drinks in the evening sun.

Under the steady stewardship of both Vacheron Constantin and Edmiston Yachts, guests — including George Spencer-Churchill, Lady Daisy Fane, Charlie Astor, Jemima Cadbury, Lawrence Van Hagen, Philippa Cadogan and Daisy Knatchbull — enjoyed caviar blinis and Ruinart Blanc de Blancs Champagne as the sun set over Mayfair, before the party descended onto LouLou’s for more (much more) of the same.
2018 has seen the emergence of a new black dial, and what brand better to partner with to celebrate this new innovation in travel timepieces than Edmiston Yachts, the luxury broker and charter company with an enviable fleet and unrivalled standards of quality.
When Gentleman’s Journal spoke to Jamie Edmiston last year, he told us: “You have to be prepared to travel quite a lot. Obviously we’re in a globalised world, and you meet a lot of interesting people on the way. And, with satellite communication, you can run a business from anywhere in the world.”
With all that travelling, it’s no wonder that you need a watch that can keep you right. Vacheron have provided just the thing — a collection well worth celebrating.
