The best gear in the world right now, from summer rosé to film-inspired timepieces
- Words by: Dan Scothern
Each week we present to you some of the best products on the planet. Whether it's pithy non-fiction or road trip-worthy coolers, these are the items that you need to shake up your lifestyle for the better...
Aristocracy London - Bank Ivory Pinstripe Suit
Centre Court has its whites, but the members' enclosures and hospitality boxes call for something altogether smarter, and an ivory three-piece from Aristocracy London does the job better than most. Cut from a lightweight wool, viscose, and microfibre blend with fine navy pinstripes and embossed golden buttons, the half-canvas jacket pairs with a double-breasted waistcoat and wide shawl lapels for proper old-world tailoring. Slim fitting and built to breathe through a long day of strawberries, Pimm's, and standing ovations.
Hamilton - Khaki Field Auto The Odyssey Limited Edition
Mythology meets horology as Christopher Nolan’s latest epic has found its way onto the wrist, courtesy of Hamilton’s latest collaboration. Cast in bronze (which will develop its own patina with wear), The Odyssey Limited Edition pairs a rivet index and sword hands with a titanium caseback engraved with Odysseus’s helmet and Nolan’s own signature. Powered by the in-house H-10 automatic with an 80-hour power reserve, it’s limited to 2,112 pieces and arrives with a replica of Athena’s pin from the film.
Vilebrequin - Fiat Topolino
Fiat's tiny electric runabout gets a Riviera makeover for its second outing with beachwear house Vilebrequin, and the headline act is a new closed body style with an opening soft-top roof. Limited to 200 units across Italy and France, the bi-colour paintwork carries Vilebrequin's signature turtle logo on the driver's door and a chrome rear carrier for extra Dolcevita flair. Inside, white seats with blue Vilebrequin stitching and nautical floor mats complete the desired yacht-club-on-wheels aesthetic.
Maker's Mark - Selfridges Barrel No. 1 2026
Maker's Mark has never done anything by half measures (in fact, the brand prefers a generous pour), and its first-ever Selfridges collaboration is case in point. Beginning life as fully matured Cask Strength bourbon, Selfridges Barrel No. 1 was finished using ten handcrafted oak staves, hand-selected through Maker's Mark's Private Selection programme to create a one-off expression exclusive to the retailer. Bottled at a formidable 55.4 per cent ABV, expect spice, dark fruit, and vanilla sweetness giving way to a long, warming finish, all while staying true to the soft red winter wheat character that's defined the brand since 1953.
Hermès - Cape Cod Titanium
Designed by Henri d'Origny in 1991, the Cape Cod's 'square within a rectangle' case has always worn its free spirit lightly, and this year's titanium iteration sharpens that sporty edge. The 41mm case is satin-finished on top with beadblasted sides, housing a sandblasted black dial with rhodium-plated Arabic numerals and an orange seconds hand for a sunny lift. Inside, the Manufacture Hermès H1912 self-winding movement delivers a 45-hour power reserve, while rubber straps in bleu abysse, orange, jaune de Naples, or black bring the open sea to the wrist.
Even Realities - Even G2 Smart Glasses
The line between specs and screen has been blurring for years, and Even Realities may be the ones to finally make it disappear. Housed in a rectangular frame flattering enough to pass for ordinary eyewear, the lowkey G2 B hides a discreet HUD that translates conversations, teleprompts speeches, and transcribes meetings in real time. Available in grey, brown, or green, with optional prescription lenses, these boardroom-ready, weekend-proof frames could be the most useful thing you'll wear on your face all year.
IWC - Ingenieur Automatic 35 Pool
Summer's given IWC's Ingenieur a new lease of colour, and 'Pool' suits it rather well. The 35mm stainless steel case and integrated bracelet keep things comfortable on the wrist, while a considered mix of satin-finished and polished surfaces catches light differently depending on the hour. The aquatic dial shade brings a fresh, warm-weather energy to the Ingenieur's famously clean architecture without straying from its industrial roots.
Sans Matin - Hera Low Top Trainer
Classically styled with a subtle Greek influence, the Hera Low Top Trainer from Sans Matin is an understated addition to any summer wardrobe. Designed in London and handcrafted in Portugal from premium white leather and taupe suede, it features the brand's signature delta-triangle detail and gold-stamped branding (a nod to its mythological inspiration). Underfoot, a triple-layered cushioned footbed and gum rubber outsole ensure all-day comfort without compromising on style.
Tissot - PR 100 Tour de France 2026
While it's easy to be overwhelmed by sport at the moment, we can't forget that July means the peloton, and Tissot's official Tour de France timekeeping duties get a proper showcase in this year's PR 100. The 40mm stainless steel case features the race's signature yellow across the dial and strap, with a black date disc and the Tour's logo engraved on the caseback. The G10.212 quartz chronograph delivers 100m water resistance and Super-LumiNova hands for low-light legibility in the mountains or through the cobbled streets.
Domaines Ott - Château Romassan Organic Rosé
As the heatwave rolls on, few things offer brief respite quite like a chilled glass of Provençal rosé. Ott's Château Romassan blends Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Cinsault grown above Bandol's sheltered bay, delivering wild strawberry and rhubarb notes that conjure the Mediterranean regardless of postcode. Bottled at 12.5 per cent in that unmistakable amphora bottle, it's the Saint-Tropez set's rosé of choice.
Frédérique Constant - 2026 Classics Runabout Automatic GMT
Every two years, Frédérique Constant's partnership with the Riva Historical Society produces the watch collectors actually queue for, and 2026's edition doesn't disappoint. Housed in a 42mm case with vertical satin-brushed stripes echoing a Riva's teak decking, it introduces the collection's first in-house Manufacture GMT, courtesy of the FC-350 calibre, alongside a date window at six. The smoked sapphire caseback reveals Côtes de Genève finishing and an individual 'One of 888' engraving, and each piece comes with miniature Riva boat, to seamlessly blend stylish horology with nautical design.
Geraint Anderson - How to Con Friends and Manipulate People: The Subtle Art of Being a Total Psychopath
12 years inside the Square Mile taught Geraint Anderson more about human nature than any psychology degree ever could, and his second book puts that education to devastating comic use. Written in the voice of an unrepentant guru who insists conscience is simply bad for business, it’s a Swiftian parody of the self-help genre that doubles as a genuine field guide to spotting manipulators in the wild. Following Cityboy’s 400,000-copy success, this one might sting even more.

£13Dometic - Recon Softside ZL Small
It's the longer summer road trips that have the habit of exposing a cool box's weaknesses, and the issues are often the same; too clunky for easy transit, or ergonomic, but with little to no cooling ability. Dometic's Recon Softside ZL circumvents both dilemmas with a zip-free, dual-hinge lid that opens one-handed, backed by 25mm FrostCore insulation for real cold, not just chill. Built from GRS recycled 840D nylon with a welded, leakproof liner, it's a rugged piece that earns its place in the boot.
The Dalmore - Distillery Tasting Experience
Highland whisky doesn't get much more exclusive than a private audience with the people who make it, and The Dalmore's reimagined distillery visit delivers exactly that. Hosted entirely for your own party of up to eight, the three-hour experience takes in a behind-the-scenes production tour before a guided tasting of expressions from the Principal and Distillery Select ranges, with a concierge tailoring every detail (down to transport and dining) in advance. Ideal for the latent whisky lover or scotophile.
