Sam Altman, known for his personal interest in watchmaking, commissioned this private Vanguart series himself: seven Orb Flying Tourbillons, one for each of a select group at OpenAI, not offered for sale anywhere. Nearly a third of Vanguart’s 33-strong team worked on the piece, engraving “Compute is destiny” around the rotor and a line of Python code - if AGI.aligned: deploy() - onto the caseback. Housed in Grade 5 titanium with a 60-hour reserve, each case is individually numbered and inscribed with “Limited OpenAI.”
