Advent Calendar Day 6: Sportfish Fishing Experience

On the sixth day of Christmas – If you’ve ever been angling with friends, you’ll know that no activity breeds both laughter and competition like trying to out-catch your fellow fishermen. For today’s Advent Calendar gift, Gentleman’s Journal have teamed up with the Sportfish Game Fishing Centre in Theale to offer a full day’s fishing experience for you and up to three friends.

The experience, which can be redeemed any time in 2018 – and booked a month in advance – will include a breakfast on site to get you fuelled for the day ahead, before you enjoy a training session with a top fly casting instructor to hone your skills. After this, you will head to Hobby Lake, where you and your friends will have exclusive use of the fishery lodge, boats and facilities for a day – along with a barbecue lunch.

Competition will be hot as you fish for blue, golden, brown rainbow and tiger trout – and it’ll give you the chance to prove your skills to some of your closest friends.
