We might be in a cost of living crisis however the Superyacht industry is most certainly not feeling the pinch. The year we have seen more Megayachts launched than ever before. We have done our very own Yacht Trumps to show who’s ruling the waves this year.
1. Breakthrough
The superyacht Breakthrough was sold in 2025 to Canadian billionaire Patrick Dovigi. He acquired the yacht from its commissioner, Bill Gates, for a reported price of over $650 million. Built by Dutch shipbuilding cooperative Feadship, she is the world’s first hydrogen fuel-cell powered superyacht, designed to cruise emission-free over short distances on green hydrogen. Breakthrough has 14 balconies, seven unfolding platforms for direct sea access, an 8.2-metre (27 ft) infinity pool with contraflow, and an underwater viewing lounge. Yes an underwater viewing lounge is an essential.

2. Moonrise
The 101m mega yacht MOONRISE (ex Project 1013) was launched at Feadship in 2025. Designed by De Voogt Naval Architects boating sleek exterior lines. The 2025 motor yacht MOONRISE, was built by the esteemed Dutch shipyard Feadship and is currently largest superyacht by waterline length ever built in the Netherlands. The owner of the superyacht Moonrise is Jan Koum, the co-founder of WhatsApp. He also currently owns a 99-meter Feadship yacht built in 2020. Yes, one is never enough.

3. Dragonfly
Google co-founder Sergey Brin is widely reported to be the owner of the superyacht Dragonfly. This 142-meter Lurssen-built yacht was launched in 2024 and is part of a larger collection of vessels known as the "Fly Fleet”, yes Sergey has a full fleet. She was designed by Germán Frers and Nauta Design and the yacht features 2,000 square meters of interior living space and 1,000 square meters of exterior social areas.

4. Deep Blue
The 130m "Project Deep Blue" is reportedly owned by Chinese entrepreneur Richard Liu. Her interior design and exterior styling comes from the drawing boards of Winch Design, while Lurssen is responsible for her naval architecture. She features a curved infinity pool, a large beach club, a heli-capable bow, a sloping mast and unconventional lower-deck glasswork.

5. Valor
Commissioned by an secretive American owner with ambitious cruising plans, Valor stands out with her distinctive military-inspired profile featuring a dreadnought battleship bow and bold painted hull numbers reminiscent of naval vessels. The 2,025 GT explorer yacht is built for adventure, equipped with a two-meter ice belt above and below the waterline that achieves Bureau Veritas Young Ice 2 notation. This classification enables safe navigation through ice up to 30 centimetres thick. Basically, you can take her to most places in the world.

6. Leviathan
The owner of the superyacht Leviathan is widely believed to be tech pioneer and co-founder of video game developer Valve, Gabe Newell. He is also reportedly the new owner of the shipyard that built the yacht, Oceanco. Because owning a yacht is not enough, true owners buy the yards also. The ultimate flex.
The yacht's design is said to reflect Newell's priorities, such as a focus on crew wellbeing, a streamlined and efficient operational philosophy, and the integration of research facilities.

7. Project Cosmos
The owner of the superyacht Project Cosmos is Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa. He is a fashion entrepreneur known for founding the online fashion retailer Zozotown. Maezawa is also an art collector and is known for his interest in space travel. Comos is one of the first yachts in the world to be fitted with fuel-cell technology and she can cruise up to seven knots for a range of 1,000 nautical miles. What makes her most recognisable is the large, glass dome, which is designed as a private owner's study connected to a terrace. A complex feat of glass engineering, Lürssen developed a custom solution to bend large sections of thick glass for undisturbed 360-degree panoramic vistas. We can unfortunately only imagine the views.

8. Luminance
The owner of the yacht Luminance is the Ukrainian billionaire Rinat Akhmetov, founder of System Capital Management. He is also the country's wealthiest person. The estimated value of Luminance stands at an impressive $500 million, with annual running costs around $50 million. Project Luminance, unveiled by esteemed shipyard Lurssen in 2022, showcases the remarkable design expertise of Espen Oeino. The yacht boasts a remarkable 9,400-ton volume and can accommodate 24 guest in 12 opulent staterooms.

9. PI
The Pi yacht is built by Feadship in 2025 and was designed by Jarkko Jämsén – Aivan, a top Finnish designer. The superyacht has a massive volume of 2.985 tons. The yacht’s owner is Howard Schultz. Howard Schultz is an American businessman, who is best known as the former CEO and chairman of Starbucks Corporation. The Pi yacht’s features include an open fireplace and a large oval-shaped swimming pool. The yacht also features a large spa and an elevator, making it easy to move between the different decks of the yacht. That’s a whole lot of coffee.

10. Les Cinq
Les Cinq is a brand-new build and stands out with here the handsome blue and white exterior profile is penned by Studio De Voogt with naval architecture by Azure Naval Architects. She was originally named one however was renamed when she was sold to a very secretive owner. One accommodates a party of 12 and features two equally impressive master staterooms – one on the dedicated owner's deck, the other full-beam suite on the main deck – as well as four lower deck guest cabins with step-free access to the beach club that opens up to port and starboard. One stand out feature is distinctive herringbone teak decking is a first for the yard Feadship and extends to the foredeck which doubles as a "touch and go" helipad.
