L’Hospitalet de Gazin is situated on a premium site adjacent the world famous Pétrus, and it is a Pomerol with youth due to the younger vines, however it is very drinkable and will keep well. This is mainly due to the rigorous selection process the grapes go through to ensure the best possible vintages. It is a rich wine that is subtly spiced, with hints of ripe cherries and plum fruit on the pallet. This wine would be a perfect match to sunday lunch and red meats. £27.96 corneyandbarrow.com
