It is not usual that a basic Bordeaux at this price appears in ‘Oz Clarke’s 250 Best Wines’, but then again there is ‘Lea & Sandeman’ basic Bordeaux and basic Bordeaux. Oz Clark said this wine should be double the price and that it delivers properties that you would expect from a proper Bordeaux. It comes from the Fronsac region of Bordeaux from a well known grower that Lea & Sandeman have worked with for years.
