White House Down is one of the latest hotly anticipated box office hits to come out of Hollywood’s Hills. Featuring Channing Tatum, who plays John Cale, a Capital Police Officer trying his hardest to protect and make sure the President (aka Jamie Foxx) stays alive in what only can be described as an extreme terrorist attack. The film is based on the 1998 short story “Hell at the White House.” Scenes of utter destruction are mixed with mind-blowing action and intense drama. Directed by Roland Emmerich who has exceptional flair when it comes to shooting disorder and chaos, recall his other blockbusters, Independence Day, The Day after Tomorrow and Godzilla, you can expect big explosions and the usual American patriotism.
White House Down hits cinemas on September 6
