In our view Masterpiece London has now cemented its place firmly as one of the best art and antiques fairs in the world. For those of you who are not familiar with it, Masterpiece London launched in June 2010 and was held at the former Chelsea Barracks. In 2011 it moved to its permanent location in the South Grounds of the Royal Chelsea Hospital and had some 28,000 people through the doors, including HRH Prince Harry, Sir Elton John, Oprah Winfrey, Anish Kapoor and Tom Ford.
Now in its third year, Masterpiece London has exceeded expectations again. On Preview Day last Wednesday, there was a record 5,195 international and UK collectors and designers that attended. Dealers, who collectively sell £1billion worth of art under one roof at Masterpiece London, are confident that this year will be a resounding success, with more exhibitors brought together then ever before.
What makes Masterpiece different to other art and antique fairs is that it strives for quality and diversity in all its exhibitors. This paired with the superb hospitality from Urban Caprice, alongside renowned names such as Scott’s Champagne & Seafood Bar, Harry’s Bar, The Mount Street Deli and Le Caprice. Masterpiece makes for the perfect venue for the most discerning of visitors.
Masterpiece London is on right now and goes on till Wednesday 4th at 21.00, when there will be a closing party in support of CLIC Sargent, a leading cancer charity for children and young people. Ticket prices to the show are £20 and for a charity party ticket, £150.
This is truly one of the most fascinating art and antique fairs in the world and is host to some of the most exquisite items the world has to offer. So whether it is Art, Wine, Cars, Boats, Antiques or just great food, Masterpiece London has something for everyone. Tickets can be purchased on line at marsterpiece.com.
