This year marks the 50th anniversary of the legend that is James Bond, and although there has already been a limited edition DVD box set, the last thing we were expecting was a 007 fragrance. By producing a fragrance they are essentially telling the world what Bond smells like, so it isn’t something you want to get wrong. It is not just another gimmicky franchise toy, this is personal to every 007 fan, it is giving us a sense of the untouchable fantasy that is James Bond.
With a black magnum mesh textured bottle and a silver twist cap that reveals the spray nozzle, the packaging certainly says 007.
In regards to the smell, we were not sure what to expect, because although Bond was particular about most things like his car, tailor and drink, there has been little or no mention of his fragrance choice. Thankfully then the 007 fragrance does not disappoint, with its strong scents of British masculinity. Based on male sixties fragrances, with fresh apple, Vetyyer, warm woods and rich lavender, it is a fragrance that has all the masculinity back bone you would expect from a classic scent, however with a fresh and modern twist.
P&G who created the fragrance got it bang on and this really could be the scent of Bond. Now all you need is the Aston……..
