The Diary – British Fashion Awards

Tuesday 27th November 2012

Last night saw the British Fashion Awards staged at The Savoy – a golden ticket in town! It hosted the most stylish, glamorous and fashion forward conveyor belt of beauties including the one and only Cara Delevingne swiping with ease the Model of the Year award from the equally detectible David Gandy. Stella McCartney – the Great British designer with ethics picked up her Brand of the Year gong – hats off! The King of British Fashion Harold Tillman was awarded the Outstanding Achievement award for his large part also in the UK wool campaign that this year saw graduates collaborate with the high street and some very willing British sheep to produce a limited collection of woollies! Manolo Blahnik stepped up to nab the Outstanding Achievement award for his contribution to fabulous feet..of corse! The evening saw a plethora of designs, showcasing just how diverse yet classic British Fashion has become, echoed in the crown, Samantha Cameron cheered side by side with Pixie Geldof, the stunningly talented Livia Firth nattered to Edie Campbell while none other than Nathalie Massesnet – our fashion Queen clad in Peter Pilotto caught up with Anya Hindmarch over a celebratory class of champers! The blooming wonderful Lily Allen and Laura Bailey talked pimped prams whilst they both glowed mid-pregnancy… the icing on the cake…Alexa Chung – made us patriotic in every sense by winning the Vodafone British Style Award for the third year running, well done Britain!
