The Diary – Cannes Rocks

This is one of the most glamorous partnerships in the world, for 16 years the Geneva based atelier has sponsored the film festival and dressed every top actor with it’s show stopping jewels. This year saw Cara Delevingne glide over the red carpet with a classic Chopard combination of drop earrings and a diamond choker. She was followed by the undeniable beauty of Cindy Crawford, Giorgia May Jagger, Julianne Moore, Lana Del Ray and Solange Knowles all bringing the luxury label’s diamonds and gems to life.

In honour of the 66th festival, Chopard, sculptor of the Palme d’Or announced a ground breaking partnership with the Alliance for Responsible Mining. The very special 66 piece ‘Love’ themed collection was worn by the film industries most notable celebrities. This initiative is one amongst many espoused by the ethical luxury consultant that is Livia Firth, wife to Chopard patron Colin Firth.

Friday saw Colin present fellow Brit, Jeremy Irvine with The Trophée Chopard Award for talent in emerging young actors, they were both dressed for the occasion, epitomising classic British style. Previous winners of the award include Marion Cotillard and Diane Kruger, and after Jeremy’s performance in Warhorse, we’re excited for the next step in this young Gentleman’s career.

On Saturday night Chopard celebrated by hosting a star-studded event in the Martinez Hotel, infamous for being THE party of Cannes, nothing less than opulence and style, just like Chopard’s jewels.
