Style – Weekend Want List

Style – Weekend Want List

Words: Violet

Yet again, the weekend is lurking around the corner. The week feels as though it’s gone faster than ever – but it’s hardly something to complain about. With this in mind, pour yourself a drink and ditch the suit for something a little more comfortable and celebrate the weekend in style. To help you in doing this – as always – we at The Gentleman’s Journal have selected a weekend want list, inspiration for making a clean, simple, Autumnal inspired outfit.

Whatever you do during your weekend break, don’t let the Autumn chill get the best of you. Temperatures are expected to plummet extremely in parts of this UK in the coming days – combat this with a thick, season blazer made from pure wool.

The problem – You’ve had enough of wearing shirts for one week, yet you aspire to remain relatively smartly dressed. The solution – A well fitted polo shirt. And when it comes to Polo shirts, look no further than this finely knitted design from MCQ Alexander McQueen. Aside from being made from a material that’ll be sure to keep you warm when the weather gets tough, the colour makes for an on trend, seasonal item.

Burberry Brit prove time and time again to be the king of denim (In our opinion at least). And so to say, they have outdone themselves in designing these minimalistic, slim fitted black jeans. As you know, black is the colour that’ll go with everything and anything. Therefor, look no further for a versatile investment piece.

Sadly, suede is no good in the rain. But, with a touch of luck the rain will hold out this weekend allowing us to lace up some suede Desert Boots. Desert Boots seem to make the perfect balance between shoes and sneakers; creating a casual yet well presented look.

At some point during your down time, you’ll hopefully be able to spend a minute to just sit down and relax. In doing so, why not pour over a well written, educational yet comical read titled ‘Guide for the Modern Gentleman’. To find out a little more about the book before purchasing, take a look at our more in depth review here.
