Italian label Slowear and Gentlemen's Journal hosted a dinner down at the brand's Marylebone outpost, bringing together guests from all backgrounds

Last night in the heart of Marylebone, London's finest shopping destination, Slowear and Gentleman's Journal held an exclusive dinner. As the mid-spring sun fell behind the Georgian terraces, guests arrived at Italian label Slowear's store, which had been transformed into a setting fit for a banquet, as well as a night of laughs, merriment and drinking.
Guests - including musician Cktrl, Principal of The Royal Ballet Reece Clarke, actors Maxim Baldry and Sheyi Cole, and models Creed McKinnon and Reuben Larkin - joined Slowear CEO Piero Braga to delight in all things Italian.
Upon arrival they were transported to the Venetian planes that Slowear calls home, with canapés including elderflower and seabass ceviche and goats cheese and onion tostadas paired with a 2018 Scala Franciacorta.
This Italian theme aptly followed through to the main dinner, where across five courses guests were treated to the finest delicacies and wines from the country. Asparagus with anchovy butter paired with a light Cantina Terlano quartz sauvignon blanc kicked things off, and was followed by aubergine parmigiana, juicy pork loin and a selection of local cheeses. Each course was paired up with a carefully selected wine, whether it be the rich and fruity Brunello de Montalcino, or Le Cupole Toscana IGT.
