Tempting the senses of sound and sight, Hendrick’s welcome the modern-adventurer to The Great Phantasmagorical Excursion, a newly released digital campaign designed to take fans on a visual and audible journey through their imagination.

Edgar Allan Poe, the great literary hero of mystery and macabre, has been the direct inspiration for The Great Phantasmagorical Excursion following his research into the wondrous state of hypnagogia. “I am aware of these ‘fancies’ only when I am upon the very brink of sleep, with the consciousness that I am so,” said Poe. Taking inspiration from this mystery, Hendrick’s have decided to create a phonic journey of peculiar imaginings by grappling the power of sound.

Using a selection of specially crafted audio-inductions, the aim is to transport listeners on a host of wondrous journeys through their imaginations. Some of these journeys include what it may be like to be the first fish to traverse the celestial cosmos, travel to Jatinga in the belly of a horned plumier and fly a kite in susurrus winds with Grandmother. Fantastical and bizarre – we know!
