After stops in London, Florence and Milan, Paris was the final place that press, celebrities and buyers visited to see the latest Spring/Summer 2025 collections. Paris Fashion Week historically brings out the big names, and this season was no different. Louis Vuitton, under the much-hyped creative direction of Pharrell Williams, presented its latest collection, while the likes of Dior, Ami and Wales Bonner showed their newest designs.
Below we present the finest moments from Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2025.
South African artist-potter Hylton Nel was the muse of Kim Jones’ latest collection for Dior, and Nel’s distinctive cat sculptures lined the runway and featured as dog and cat-shaped trinkets attached to the clothing. Elsewhere Kim Jones looked to the Dior archive and even reimagined a jacket sketched by Yves Saint Laurent (but never made) during his time at the Maison.
Pharrell presented is third collection for Louis Vuitton down at Paris’ Maison de l'Unesco. And it was an appropriate venue, as Williams wanted to make a political statement. The show took place around the Erik Reitzel-conceived ‘Symbolic Globe’. This statue was designed in 1995 to represent the worldwide web that Unesco represents, and William's collection too was a reflection of this. Shirts came emblazoned with ‘le monde est à vous’ while football shirts were designed for a make-believe unified team called "Lvers United". Meanwhile the LV pixel was back for a third season, this time used on jackets to depict a united world.
Ami’s Alexandre Mattiussi took thing back to the basics for his Spring/Summer 2025 collection. He wanted to present a collection that reflected how he dressed, and so he sent out models (including Frenchman Clément Chabernaud) in pared-down looks, such as a shirt and floaty slacks. Short men’s shorts with suede loafers and boxy polos. Easy clothing for guys who want to look good.
Your designer's favourite designer was one of the buzziest names in Paris. And Wales Bonner delivered. The Spring/Summer 2025 collection from the London-based designer conjure the "nighttime vibrance of cities by the sea", as the show notes said, and models wore swimming briefs with Bonner's signature knits and tees with netted detailing. This sat alongside tailoring, which was created alongside Savile Row tailor Anderson & Sheppard. Meanwhile prints were inspired by inspired by Trinidadian textile artist Althea McNish, and there was another excellent Adidas collaborative capsule thrown in there, which comprised high-shine satin two-pieces and more footwear.
