Amsterdam-based menswear brand MR MARVIS first caught our attention way back in 2016, with its launch of a signature pair of perfectly crafted shorts. That style – ‘The Originals’ – is still available, and as popular as ever. But over the years, the brand has been quietly evolving, growing its offerings and building seasonal collections. It may not be shorts weather anymore, but that’s fine by us, as MR MARVIS has launched the ultimate edit of winter wear, in the form of its Autumn/Winter 2025 collection.

The AW25 campaign, which was shot around the iconic Lake Como and atop the stylish peaks of St. Moritz, draws inspiration from the Italian art of sprezzatura – a certain effortless elegance that characterises true independent style. These are items designed to be lived in, not fussed over.

In keeping with MR MARVIS’s philosophy of functional wearability, the collection is modern yet timeless, designed for adventurous-spirited men who value well-made clothes. It introduces new tops, winter-proof trousers and a braided belt, each of which is made for utmost comfort without sacrificing the sleek, minimalist style that has become MR MARVIS’s calling card. The ultimate building blocks for a no-nonsense winter wardrobe – whether you’re hitting the slopes or commuting across the city.

Starting with the top layers, we welcome the introduction of the Knitted Blazer – a blazer-cardigan hybrid crafted from organic cotton. Team it with a shirt and tie or throw it over a cashmere jumper for smart-casual elegance. Meanwhile, the Downtown Jacket is a hardworking puffer style that’s windproof and water-repellent, promising stylish protection from the elements.

MR MARVIS has mastered the mid-layer with three styles that you’ll reach for time and again. The Cable Knit Pullover, made from 100% merino wool, is an updated take on a winter classic, while the Rugby Pullover in 100% organic cotton serves as a nod to heritage rugby jersey styles and the Smart Shirt subtly elevates any casual outfit.

In the trouser department, MR MARVIS has engineered pieces that require minimal effort to pull off – from the Straight Fit Jeans, which are classic yet contemporary, to the Coolerdays Alpinist, an elevated winter style inspired by classic ski looks. Cinching it all together is an elastic braided belt that comes in four elegant colours.

The MR MARVIS team has come a long way from its early days spent focusing exclusively on shorts, and it’s safe to say that men around the world are all the better for it. Heading into winter, we’ll be embracing that age-old art of sprezzatura with a little help from MR MARVIS.
