A sold out style staple makes its long-awaited return

Jenson Button’s favourite LESTRANGE travel jacket, crafted from Japanese technical fabric, sold out in days. Finally, it’s made a return – with a wait-list of over 1,000

It’s no secret that Formula 1 World Champion Jenson Button is a big fan of LESTRANGE, the London-based menswear brand that’s all about elevating everyday essentials. Earlier this year, after years as a loyal customer, Button decided to take his relationship with the brand to the next level, becoming an investor.

The only problem? Button’s well-documented affinity for a certain LESTRANGE item – the understated and ultra-versatile 360° Jacket (“My travel essential,” he was quoted as saying) – caused the jacket to sell out just weeks after launching this year, resulting in widespread disappointment among LESTRANGE lovers.

It’s a fate that regularly befalls cult clothing items, whether it’s Ralph Lauren’s Cotton Deck Jacket – sported by Carmy in The Bear – which became one of the most in-demand menswear items of the past summer; or Sunspel’s Riviera Polo, which continues to attract legions of style-savvy men thanks to its scene-stealing role in Casino Royale.

Thankfully, this autumn heralds the return of the 360° Jacket, giving those who missed out the first time a chance to add this classic layering tool to their wardrobe. The hard-working staple joins the rest of the easy-care, travel-friendly 360° capsule wardrobe, a range made with hidden performance and every movement in mind, whether it's all-day comfort in the four-way stretch 360° Trousers or the crease-resistant 360° Blazer.

Available in two easy-to-wear shades – Navy, and all new Beige – the 360° Jacket is crafted from a technical, water-resistant fabric with four-way stretch that’s expertfully developed in Nomi, Japan. Crucially, it’s made to move with you – whether you’re travelling, commuting or running errands around town.

“We source beautiful fabrics that perform while keeping the look of every day,” says LESTRANGE co-founder Will Horne. “This Japanese 360TechWeave™ fabric is light, water-resistant, crease-free and packable. It just works for the life we have today when we find ourselves on long-haul flights, flitting between offices or travelling.”

No detail has been overlooked in the engineering of the 360° Jacket. Innovative features include two discreet side pockets with magnetic closures, an elasticated waist and a modular clip for effortless layering with other pieces in LESTRANGE’s Modular series, including the 360° Blazer.

It’s this level of care and attention to detail that solidifies LESTRANGE as a leader in slow fashion. The brand is committed to taking the time to refine and perfect rather than churning out half-baked products. “We can’t place orders like H&M and Zara and turn things around the next week, but we like it that way,” says co-founder Tom Horne. “As soon as the jacket sold out, we placed an order for the next batch, but we believe in making garments in the right way: only what is needed and nothing in excess. Luckily, we have a community of likeminded people who are willing to wait for the right products that are designed to last more than just a season. We have the Studio – our Instagram threads channel – where we get a chance to involve them in the process, let them know what’s coming in. It keeps things personal and it comes from Will and I.”

It seems Jenson Button was onto something with his speedy championing of the 360° Jacket. Now, there’s a chance to follow his lead and nab yourself a modern menswear icon that will go the distance.

The 360° Jacket restocks in Navy and launches in all new Beige this autumn. Join the waitlist here.
