Donald Trump cleaned up in three more states last night, bringing his total number of pledged delegates in the race for the Republican nomination up to 446,791 short of victory. The wins in Hawaii, Michigan and Mississippi saw his lead over the next closest candidate Ted Cruz grow to 99.

As news of his victories came in, Twitter went on the offensive with #IfTrumpWins, with over 50,000 tweets amassed overnight. The trend also comes in after the news that Egyptian aviation student, Emadeldin Elsayed, 23, is to leave the US after commenting on Facebook that he would kill the controversial candidate should he take up residency in the White House.
