It’s three weeks until Christmas, and the fear of present buying is setting in. Previous year’s piles of cashmere sweaters and suede loafers have either been pinched by your sixteen year old son with a growth spurt and expensive taste, or they remain dormant in the corner of an over subscribed wardrobe.
So what is the answer for the man who has everything? A watch of course. Now buying a man a watch for Christmas can be a tricky thing, as watches, similar to puppies are for more than just a day, so there are several categories crucial to breaking down the options for the correct choice.
Choice number 1, does he want a particular watch? This is easy, buy the watch, and he will be happy. It sounds simple but the options get more complex. Option number 2, what is the watch for? If it is everyday use, a steel sportswatch, something like the new blue/black Rolex GMT (RRP £5900.00) is a great choice in our opinion, as it’s new, revitalised and not something that will be spotted on many wrists this Christmas.

If the watch is for smart occasions, something that will complement a tuxedo, our recommendation is the Jaeger leCoultre Grande Reverso Tribute to 1931 (RRP £5,350.00), which is guaranteed to add a touch of class to any event.

Choice number 3 is reserved just for the adrenaline junkies, and it will have to be a late Christmas present in anticipation of it’s arrival in January 2014. The all new Breitling Emergency is anticipated to be a show stopper. With a larger titanium case than it’s predecessor, and a rubber strap option, the King of extreme adventure is preparing to reclaim it’s throne (Expected RRP £15,000.00).

Option Number 4 is for a man who has been particularly well behaved this year. The limited edition platinum Rolex Daytona is a particularly special timepiece. A 50th anniversary piece, the £50,000.00 price tag is considerable, but for the man who has everything, this is the most luxurious gift this Christmas.
