Tuesday night saw The Gentleman’s Journal host its most glamorous event to date, in association with Gieves and Hawkes, the iconic No.1 Savile Row tailor.
Renowned as the world’s finest art fair and held in the beautiful grounds of the Royal Hospital, Chelsea, Masterpiece was the perfect venue for a myriad of guests to come together for an exclusive evening of cocktails and champagne in the Ochre Salon.
Irresistible canapés by Urban Caprice were devoured almost as soon as quickly as they could be brought out, the salmon sashimi emerging as the clear favourite of the guests. Champagne flowed freely as guests from the world of art and fashion, such as Nazy Vassegh and Jason Basmaijian, compared notes on the plethora of stunning artwork that surrounded the venue.
The long summer evening flew by as guests moved between the terrace and the dealer’s exhibitions admiring some of the world’s most expensive and sought-after art, as well as copies of our Summer Issue. The Gentleman’s Journal’s global reach was reflected by the presence of fashion editor Patrick Wu and fashion director Gautier Chen from Esquire China who chatted to London-based guests Jemima Cadbury and Lady Daisy Fane.
