Taking place in the opulent surroundings of Gieves and Hawkes’ No. 1 Savile Row, the British tailoring brand hosted a gala dinner in celebration of their newly refurbished store as well as an exhibition taking place within the establishment. The exhibition, titled “The Fabrics” by Vitale Barberis Canonico looks at all things tailoring and will be taking place from 11th until 16th November 2014.
On the night a number of VIP guests attended, including Harvey Newton Haydon, Eddie Wrey, Jake Parkinson Smith, Tom Stubbs, Gillian de Bono and many more. They were welcomed by creative director of Vitale Barberis Canonico, Francesco Barberis Canonico and chief creative officer of Gieves & Hawkes, Jason Basmajian. The black tie event was a fitting celebration of what is, for many, the home of British tailoring.
