Editor’s Picks: Brioni trousers, Fera jacket, OMEGA watch and French Bloom bubbly
The best gear in the world right now, from element defying boots to the infrared elite.

Each week we present to you some of the best products on the planet. Whether it’s weather-hardy skincare or inverted timepieces, these are the items that you need to shake up your lifestyle for the better...
Brioni - Ivory Velvet Corduroy Asolo Trousers
Alpine style needn’t always be salopettes, and there are ways to cut a refined skiing silhouette on the cloudy days as well. Take these Ivory Velvet Corduroy Asolo Trousers from tailoring legends, Brioni: designed with comfort and warmth in mind, but with a distinct nod to the brand’s Italian menswear ethos, these relaxed fit, flat-fronted bottoms have been finished with all the luxury trimmings one might expect and look enviously sleek around the town and on the gondola.
French Bloom - Le Rosé Organic French Bubbly 0.0%
It’s been a fortnight, and to those still comfortably atop the wagon, we commend you. But, if motivation is waning, and the tastebuds are pining for something with any sort of ABV, we urge you to resist temptation and instead reach for a bottle of Le Rosé Organic French Bubbly. As well-balanced and flavourful as it’s boozy counterpart, this fresh and fruity zero per cent alcohol fizz makes for a fantastic mid-week tipple to tide one over until the ‘wetter’ months or simply to enjoy as a hangover-proof alternative.
Fera - Ratting Jacket
For those looking to introduce a little pattern into their winter ensembles, the Ratting Jacket from Fera is a style we heartily recommend. Designed with a roomier fit and as a contemporary homage to traditional British outerwear, this wool blend piece is as practical as it is handsome, with three internal and four external pockets (including a charming ticket pocket) alongside elevated finishes in the form of corozo nut buttons and a tab-close storm collar.
Aesop - Elemental Facial Barrier Cream
Though unarguably much lower on the list of ailments one might inflict upon oneself whilst on the mountain, post-skiing skin damage isn’t to be ignored. As much as SPF is used to minimise sun damage, it’s important to take steps to protect the cheeks from the cold and harsh conditions as well. Fortunately, Aesop is on hand with its Elemental Facial Barrier Cream, and this nourishing morning-and-evening emollient hydrator primes and conditions the skin to battle the alpine winds and montane elements.
OMEGA - Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional
Familiar, but somehow different; the first 2026 release from OMEGA is a reinterpretation of a brand favourite and perhaps a teaser of an exciting year of watches to come? Sporting an inverted dial configuration, the latest Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional showcases a black varnished and lacquered double plate step dial noticeably complemented by white varnished and lacquered subdials set within rhodium-plated frames. Under the hood, this 42mm piece runs on an OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3861 movement; the most advanced evolution of the famed Calibre 321, that went to the Moon.
Solis - Infrared SUPREME Panel 2.0
While the viral LED facemask might tick boxes for some, those who are the most serious about skin care, muscle recovery, mood enhancement and pain relief have since upgraded to the infrared elite. Standing just shy of 39 inches and boasting 308 5W LEDs the SUPREME Panel 2.0 from Solis strikes a potent balance between maximum coverage and practical usability. Covering approximately eight square feet per session, this model - a favourite of the England Rugby team - allows users to target larger areas for recovery, treat multiple zones simultaneously, or simply bask in its wide glow whilst completing other steps in the morning routine.
Émigré - Active Backpack
Devised for urban adventures, weekend jaunts or simple commuting, the innovative team at Émigré created the Active Backpack as a streamlined catch-all for the active professional. While a ‘toss in and hope’ approach to luggage works well for some, an Émigré wearer values accessibility and efficiency above all else; two attributes that this pack holds in abundance. Two master compartments split work, travel, or gym essentials, whilst plush padded sleeves keep devices secure (in addition to smaller fleece pockets for easy-grab pieces) and a waterproof compartment and internal and external mesh pockets keep additional items separate. The muted black outer shell slots unassumingly into professional environments, adding versatile to the stellar list of adjectives used to describe this functionally elegant piece.
Moët & Chandon - Collection Impériale Création No. 1
Though leaving without a prize, it’s fair to say that Moët & Chandon played a starring role in Sunday evening’s Golden Globes Awards. The brand’s thirty-fifth year sponsoring the event, it’s rare to see an at-table shot in which the iconic bottle doesn’t make a cameo. Our favourite iteration to cushion the fall off the Dry January wagon, however, is the Collection Impériale Création No. 1. The highest expression of Moët & Chandon's art of haute oenologie, this multi-layered champagne blends seven remarkable vintages to deliver a fruity bouquet before giving way to a seductive and aromatically sweet palate.
Lululemon - Engineer Warmth Long-Sleeve Crew
Crafted for training and engineered for adventure, this long sleeve crew jumper from activewear pioneers, Lululemon, is a brisk weather workout essential. Part of the brand’s winter collection (the campaign film for which included former Gentleman’s Journal cover star, Lewis Hamilton), this smoothly textured merino top provides thermoregulating warmth coupled with a traditional fit for comfortable and cosy sessions.
Cheaney - Barnes III R Chelsea Boot
A classic style with a dash of rugged edge, the Barnes III R from Northampton artisans, Cheaney, is the ideal shoe for Q1 unpredictability. Constructed from Last 12508 (an immediately recognisable Cheaney style) and sporting a Danite rubber sole, these boots are a robust, high-traction addition to the footwear rotation. What’s more, the premium grain leather and distinctive pebbled finish ensure optimum versatility, pairing superbly with both formal and casual attire.
