How To Dress For A Valentine’s Date
Words: Alex Woodhall
Valentine’s Day is fast approaching and by now you should have your plan sorted, at least in terms of a gift and a venue for your date. But what are you going to wear? Just showing up in any old outfit wont cut it, obviously. If you’re short on inspiration here are 3 looks that you can rely on, whatever the dress code.
DINNER

Make an impression in and get suited up in the sharpest tailoring; opt for navy, as it’s more versatile and less stuffy than grey and black. A white shirt and textured tie in a reddish hue will accent the suit and accessories with brown leathers; a pair of double monks and a simple, sophisticated watch.

DRINKS

Keep it smart but not too formal if it’s drinks that are on the menu for February 14th. Tailored trousers and a shirt anchored with a shawl-collar luxury cardigan is a timeless smart-casual combination that’s ideal for a cocktail date. Finish with suede shoes and a woven belt.

CASUAL DAY OUT

If you’ve got a day out and about planned that doesn’t call for a more dressed-up ensemble, this all-purpose casual look has you covered. Wrap up in a Canada Goose parka over a neutral t-shirt. Tactile grey chinos in a contemporary fit over of-the-moment leather Chelsea boots completes this all-encompassing casual look.
