HBO’s meta-Hollywood TV hit is finally coming to the big screen, there’s still a year to wait, but after 3 years of anticipation here are some reasons you should be counting down the days.
The return of Ari and Lloyd

Jeremy Piven and sidekick Xan Lee have both signed on for the big screen version of the series and, if they do the job right, they could be the best ‘TV to film’ partnership since Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson achieved cult status with Starsky and Hutch. We’
The celebrity cameos

There’s a reason that Jennifer Lawrence is the brightest star in Hollywood at the moment, she’s an unusually talented actress, she hasn’t made a sex tape and she’s only getting brighter. It’ll be interesting to see how she copes with being thrown into the Entourage maelstrom, especially as she won’t be the only newbie. At the time of going to press, rumoured celebrity cameos include Piers Morgan (the critics will tear him to pieces – hopefully), Thierry Henry, Billy Bob Thornton, Emily Ratjowski and Mark Wahlberg who, as executive producer, might be in front of the camera as well as behind it.
We want to see what Ari looks like as God
The last time we saw Ari Gold, back in 2011, he was being offered the keys to Hollywood in the form of an offer to replace John Ellis as Chairman and CEO of Time Warner Group. What does a real man cave look like?

We’re about to find out.
Seth Rogen needs to be wrong
Although the Canadian stand-up comedian has been particularly perceptive of late, he recently tweeted “people love defending people’s right to deprive other people of their rights”, it’s unbecoming for him to be so smug about his wee Twitter victories. He clearly doesn’t think Entourage is going to be remotely funny, we’d love for him to be wrong.
