London Craft Week is a celebration of creativity not often rivalled elsewhere. For one week each year (the 2021 iteration will take place from 4th-10th October), leading designers, brands and galleries flock to our beloved capital to showcase their wares, skills and works of art.
This year alone, the programme includes a celebration of English sparkling wine with Nyetimber, a spectacle-frame making workshop hosted by Cubitts and a talk by the Danish Embassy on Danish art, craft and design. The event is a unique coalescence of creatives from a vast array of specialisms: and for 2021, London Craft Week has partnered with Gentleman’s Journal in a brand new collaboration that you’re positively, definitively, unequivocally going to want to be part of.

This year, London Craft Week will play host to a glittering evening affair, aptly titled ‘LCW Lates’; and the event in question has been captioned ‘The Savile Row Edition’. Taking place on Tuesday 5th October from 6:00-8:00pm, it encapsulates everything you’d expect from the title alone.
Have you ever wondered just exactly what goes on behind the scenes at one of the most famous streets in the world; a street that’s maintained an unrivalled status in gentlemen’s style vernacular for centuries? Because now’s your chance to finally dip behind the (metaphorical) curtain, and learn how those bespoke tailors — tailors who hold an almost holy place in gentlemanly fashion and etiquette — do what they do best.
You will, of course, be famous with the brands that have catapulted Savile Row to its global style status over the years — and it’s these brands you can expect to interact with (and learn from) at The Savile Row Edition. Have you ever wanted to ask the team at Henry Poole & Co how they create the perfect bespoke suit? Now would be the time. How about Huntsman? Dege & Skinner? Cad & The Dandy? Savile Row Valet? They’ll all be there: ready and waiting to offer a privileged insight into their inner workings.
Expect to witness demonstrations of their signature techniques, together with new knowledge and understanding of the respective brands’ heritage, individual style and specialist techniques at a rare after-hours experience. And the best part? Guests will receive invaluable style advice: and rest assured that you’ll want to bring along your notebook and pen for this one. Style advice of this calibre doesn’t come around often.
To top it all off, you can enjoy all this newfound style insight whilst sipping delectable cocktails, courtesy of Sipsmith — and if Sipsmith is involved, you know those cocktails will be world-class (to say the very least). But we’ve yet to mention one very key thing…
