As quickly as London Collections: Men started the peacocks, the posers, and the photographers desperate for that perfect shot of David Gandy, have resumed to normality. Whilst the fun and frivolity of the three days is far behind us and detoxes and early nights are no doubt on the cards for those in attendance, we are left with the knowledge of what mens trends you should be adhering to come autumn/winter 14.
1. Orange
Whether it’s all out bright orange chinos, or just the hint of a scarf, orange is set to be a huge trend in aw14.
2. Green
Bright, forest, sea, whatever you want to call it – take a cue from the kings of the runway when adding green to your wardrobe next season.
3. Quilting
A great way to add some interesting texture to your look.
4. Check Mate
We saw it in over sized squares, micro repeat patterns and even full blown tartan.
5. Polo Necks
No longer the go-to neckline for mods, next season be sure to team yours under evening jackets for an alternative to evening wear, as seen at Tom Ford and Duchamp.
6. Military
Military styling was all over the runways at this years LC:M, making it near impossible to choose our favourites, but look to the likes of Gieves & Hawkes,
7. Bomber Jackets
We know, we know…it’s nothing new. Some trends just can’t seem to fade away and the bomber is certainly one of those still clinging on.
8. Brown
We’ve seen the likes of midnight blue and forest green becoming the coolest trends for formal wear, but now brown is having it’s moment. Try silk or velvet to really make the most if the aw14 trend.
9. Monochrome
All out black and white has never looked cooler. Dominating the runways of Agi & Sam and Alexander McQueen.
10. Biker Jackets
Add some serious cool-factor to your wardrobe with a butter soft leather biker jacket in any colour that takes your fancy.
