Could there be a better partner for a Spring drinks party than Sunspel? The English style house is the very embodiment of a beautiful, breezy, sun-kissed April morning – a shower of excellent cotton, airy linen, and fifty shades of blue. In the brand's handsome new Jermyn Street store, friends of the magazine gathered to celebrate the launch of its Spring Issue – which contained within it our annual rundown of the 50 most tasteful people in London: those influential and debonair figures who span the worlds of style, hospitality, drinks, music, art and design. Over excellent canapés and mid-week (!) lagers, Dom Hamdy hobnobbed with Top Jaw's Jesse Burgess and Freddie Garland (of Flowers fame), while Industry's Sagar Radia chatted with Sunspel owner Nicholas Brooke. Guests – including Hannah Crosbie, the Guardian's formidable new wine writer, Mathias LeFevre, Zak Maoui, Sam Webb, basil baron James Chase, Sabrina Percy, and Jemima Tollemache – all left with handsome party bags, including a suitably verdant Sunspel candle, and a hot-off-the-press new issue of the magazine. What fun!
