This is how you should be serving your Tanqueray No. TEN
Gentleman’s Journal joins Tanqueray at the Saatchi Gallery to discover the perfect Tanqueray No. TEN serve…
There’s nothing simpler than a gin cocktail, right? Mix with premium tonic, ice and a slice or blend with a sweet but sharp fruit juice – what could be easier?
To test this theory we headed to the Saatchi Gallery, where Tanqueray No. TEN is currently partnering the Beyond the Road video exhibition, to join Richard Lee Massey and Tanqueray ambassador Jack Sotti behind the bar.

After taking in the immersive exhibition by Colin Nightingale, Stephen Dobbie and James Lavelle, which – like a good cocktail – is designed to stimulate all the senses, Sotti offered a brief insight into the history of Tanqueray No. TEN. The gin is crafted using eight fine botanicals, including juniper berries, coriander seed, Angelica root, liquorice, white grapefruit, limes, oranges and chamomile, which give it its distinctive taste and aroma.
Then it was on to the important business of creating an exquisite cocktail that highlights the unique characteristics of this iconic spirit. First quarter a lime, red grapefruit and white grapefruit. Put into the bottom of a cocktail shaker and crush to release the fresh juices. Add a measure of Tanqueray No. TEN gin and shake well before straining into a tumbler over ice. Garnish with a slice of red grapefruit. An easy, fuss-free and refreshing pour that will surprise and delight at any occasion.
Want to learn to make this signature cocktail yourself? On September 5, Tanqueray No. TEN will be hosting two cocktail masterclasses with brand ambassador Jack Sotti and you can join them. Click here to find out how.
