Masterpiece preview: Thomas Coulborn & Sons

Thomas Coulborn & Sons is run by Jonathan Coulborn, former chairman of BADA and grandson of the founder. The gallery is located in Sutton Coldfield and they exhibit at the BADA Fair, the Winter Antiques Show in New York, and Masterpiece London (stand C13).

They have made a number of significant sales worldwide, including their George II Scarlet and Gilt-japanned Secretaire Cabinet, acquired by The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York in 2013; and The Crouching Venus by John Nost the Elder, purchased by the V&A in 2012. Masterpiece highlights include a pair of English Brass Cannons made circa 1800, from the armoury of the Earls of Macclesfield.

Masterpiece takes place from the 25 June – 1 July at The Royal Hospital Chelsea, SW3 4LW.
