Concours on Savile Row – a celebration of stunning cars and world-class tailoring

London’s most stylish motoring event is back on the world’s most famous tailoring street on May 24 - 25 for its second edition, and it will be bigger and better than ever

Savile Row, renowned for its bespoke tailoring heritage, will once again play host to a showcase of spectacular cars and fascinating tailors’ displays, as Concours on Savile Row returns for a second year to celebrate the rich history car manufacturers and tailors share.

The Row will be closed to traffic over the two-day event, thanks to the cooperation of Westminster City Council, enabling visitors to browse the impressive array of cars and tailoring exhibits, as well as enjoy insightful talks on both collector cars and tailoring from experts and celebrities. There will also be live music performances on the central stage.

The 2022 car line-up was deliberately eclectic, with hypercars – including UK debuts for the McLaren Artura and the Czinger 21C – displayed alongside greats from some of the world’s most famed classic car collections.

This year is set to be just as extraordinary, with the number of cars growing to more than 40 – featuring the latest electric supercars, iconic GTs, historic race cars and concept cars of the future among them. What’s more, many of the cars on display have age-old connections with Savile Row, while some haven’t been seen for decades, and a select few have never been seen in public before.

To accommodate more cars on display, the Concours has been expanded into the area outside the Royal Academy of Arts on Burlington Gardens, where Nyetimber’s famous double-decker bus will be parked, serving English sparkling wine.

Along with the stellar car line-up along Savile Row, many of the renowned tailors, shoemakers and art galleries on The Row will be open to visitors, demonstrating how tradition meets cutting edge design with a wealth of traditional patterns, current designs and cutting rooms to explore.

Other exciting events include a gala dinner hosted in the Royal Academy of Arts’ Collections Gallery on the first evening of the Concours, sponsored by Aranyani, and a new round table discussion, sponsored by Blick Rothenberg, will take place at the Royal Academy to consider ‘Cars as Art – The Investment Level Collector Cars That Transcend The Car Hobby And Become Rolling Works Of Art’.

EFG Private Bank has joined the Concours on Savile Row as a major sponsor, along with Chopard, RM Sotheby’s, Hagerty, FOPE and Magneto. Other new partners Mercedes-Benz, Lotus, Norton Motorcycles, Audi, Callum Design, Alfa Romeo, BRM, RML and Electrogenic have joined existing partners Lunaz, Morgan, Bentley, Aston Martin, Caton, and Everatti.

The Concours begins at 10am and finishes at 8pm on both Wednesday May 24 and Thursday May 25. Entry to the event is free but there will be VIP tickets available for special access to exclusive displays within the tailoring houses and galleries on Savile Row. Refreshments will be available from The Service café as well as several pop-up venues.

If you’re wondering what to wear for such a stylish occasion on Savile Row, don’t stress. Dress smart if you can, and dress to impress if you’re heading to any of the VIP events. However, if you’re passing by after work, or on your way somewhere else later, you could always buy something special on The Row to elevate your outfit.
