Burlington Arcade is revamped for summer

Mayfair is London’s most exclusive shopping district, boasting the likes of Bond Street, Mount Street and of course, the Burlington Arcade. A permanent fixture between Piccadilly and Burlington Gardens since 1819, it has always housed the finest boutiques and specialist shops anywhere in the world, becoming somewhat of a destination for those after classic British clothing, fine jewellery and rare timepieces. There’s now even more of an excuse to visit the Burlington Arcade this summer though, as a number of summer installations have been implemented to celebrate an all-new floor design.

Renowned artist Zoe Bradley was commissioned to produce two floral chandeliers, which will hang gracefully above shoppers as they peruse the arcade. Here aim was ‘to transport the public into an exotic garden on their visit to Burlington Arcade; an oasis of luxury’. Combined with the new floor design, which is constructed of British stone, they help to transform the arcade, bringing it up to date without managing to lose any of its charm.

As well as numerous luxury boutiques lining continuing to enjoy the space, the Burlington Arcade has attracted some new, very special tenants. The likes of Chanel, Eres, Maison Michel, Barrie, Frederic Malle and Bell & Ross have all moved in, meaning there’s even more choice along the exclusive strip of Mayfair real estate.
