How To Secure A First Date

Dating - TGJ.01

Remember what we said in point 6 in last week’s article on ’15 Things Women Wish Men Knew’? No? Then have a read here if you missed it –thegentlemansjournal.com – the point was, a woman will always be flattered by a man asking her out. It is not, therefore the asking out that is the hard bit, it is getting her to say yes that’s your first obstacle. So, we bring you 3 very simple ways to increase your chances of her saying yes to that first date…

READ THE SIGNS

Before even asking her out you need to weigh up your chances. Pay close attention to her body language – is she checking her watch, fidgeting or looking towards the exit? Then she’s probably not that interested. On the other hand, if she is making eye contact, leaning towards you and listening to what you are saying then you’re probably in luck and it’s definitely worth asking her out.

CONFIDENCE

It’s the oldest trick in the book, but sometimes a cliche is a cliche for a reason. A woman will always be attracted to a man who exudes confidence. Said confidence will reassure her that you are genuinely interested in her and will give her confidence that you will show her a good time. So, stand tall, speak clearly and have faith that she might just say yes.

OFFER SOMETHING SHE CAN’T RESIST

Suggesting a quick Starbucks ’round the corner is hardly going to send sparks going in her mind, but you don’t need to be rolling in dollar bills to get her to say yes either. Keep it interesting, even slightly mysterious if you like ie: ‘Do you fancy a drink with me at this amazing little bar in Soho that you’ve probably never heard of?’ is a far safer bet than something monotonous and predictable.
