¿Qué cosa sencilla te cambió la vida de la forma más inesperada?

Después de terminar la educación secundaria, fui a un centro de bachillerato donde se impartían estudios de comunicación audiovisual. Tras la primera semana, no acababa de sentirme a gusto allí, así que me cambié a otro centro y elegí artes escénicas, ya que no ofrecían comunicación audiovisual como asignatura de bachillerato.

¿Cuál es la mejor ciudad del mundo?

London to me is still the best city in the world. It’s a hotbed of different cultures and creeds. No other city has the same feel to it. Toronto and Lisbon can fight it out for second place.

¿Cuál es tu insulto favorito?

«Gilipollas» se usa mucho. En mi sector hay un montón.

Aparte de la terapia, ¿cuál es la mejor forma de terapia?

Desahogarse con un amigo o un ser querido parece una forma estupenda de quitarse un peso de encima. También practico mucho deporte, y eso siempre ayuda a liberar tensiones. La música puede transportarte rápidamente a otro lugar. No sé si alguna de estas cosas se puede considerar una forma de terapia o de distracción... o ambas cosas.

¿Qué pódcast sueles recomendar más a la gente?

I’m always forwarding clips and snippets from ShxtsNGigs to friends and family. Those boys crack me up.

¿Qué consejo te habría gustado seguir?

Estira. No metafóricamente. Literalmente.

Do you have a uniform?

No. Pero si lo tuviera, se llamaría «limpio y más o menos presentable».

What is the last song that you listened to?

«September», de Earth, Wind & Fire. ¡Ha salido en modo aleatorio!

What is your favourite time of the day or night?

La hora de la siesta. Mi superpoder es que puedo quedarme dormido casi en cualquier sitio. Esta revelación me enorgullece y me avergüenza a partes iguales.

What would you say is the finest accent in the world?

It has to be Spanish— so rhythmic and melodic.

Me compré un abrigo bastante caro después de uno de mis primeros trabajos en televisión. Me avergüenza decir que me lo he puesto menos de cinco veces.

Sentirte a gusto con quien eres y hacer más cosas que te hacen feliz. Eso, y soltar un quejido exagerado cada vez que te levantas, lo que significa que has llegado a cierta etapa de la vida.

What is your tip for public speaking?

Habla con una sola persona, pero deja que todos los demás escuchen la conversación.

Twelve Rounds by Soozy Lipsey. It sits in my kitchen! Also, I have a shot of James Dean when he starred in Rebel Without A Cause that was gifted to me many years ago that I have hung up.

What small thing irritates you inordinately?

When you give way to an oncoming vehicle while driving and they don’t say thank you, or even acknowledge it.

What is your go-to toast?

I legitimately read this thinking it was about toast, as in bread, which is one of my favourite things to eat in the world. Then I realised it likely meant a one- liner when raising a toast. I prefer sourdough.

What is your favourite pair of shoes?

My Nike Air Max.

What is one thing that’s always worth paying more for?

Auriculares. El silencio es un lujo.

What did you learn from your parents?

Family first.

Where can you find the best burger in the world?

In-N-Out, LA.

Who is the most interesting person you know?

How would you describe your personal style?

Comfortable, but a choice has been made.

A crêpe from a small stand in Hampstead that’s been around since the 1970s. (I, to be clear, have not been around since then.) But the crêpes are pretty good.

When Kobe Bryant passed, it stuck with me longer than I thought it would. I’m not sure why. I wasn’t necessarily a big Lakers, or basketball fan. Just the thought of a great going too early, and thinking about all he accomplished and the impact he made on the sport and the world.

A morbid answer: but to even be remembered at all, in a time when people, places and things are forgotten and replaced so quickly, would be a win.

¿Qué te apetece hacer mañana?

Una taza de té, mi sofá y la televisión. No hay nada mucho mejor que eso.
