Yachts – Sunseeker 115 Sport

Sunseeker - TGJ.01

Sunseeker has long been hailed as the paramount brand of luxury in the wonderful world of yachting. Famous for boats that not only break the boundaries of design and speed, but as an emblem of life on the other side; Sunseeker has remained at the forefront of the jet set boating world since it’s birth in 1979. With each decade comes a piece of machinery so slick and desirable that it gets the tongues of the jet set wagging and the papers talking. This year it is the Sunseeker 115 Sport, which is set to be displayed in all its glory at the London Boat Show, which begins on Saturday 4th January and runs until the 12th.

With nine bathrooms and sleeping quarters for up to fifteen guests (though who says you can’t have it all to yourself?), it seems this new model beckons the lavish parties synonymous with the picturesque yachting lifestyle. With an £11.5 million price tag, the 115 Sport will be the priciest piece at the boat show this weekend, and is sure to be the centre of attention for luxury-lovers from around the world.

Owning a yacht is something of a far-fetched dream for many a working man, yet this new model from Sunseeker privileges it’s owner with not only the sleek lines of luxury design, but an emphasis on sporting power too, making it a piece for thrill-seekers and design buffs alike. With a high-speed engine, the freedom of travel in this boat remains its greatest appeal.

And if you did decide to invite a select few aboard your new toy, the main deck with its spacious raised wheelhouse, bar area and sundecks will set the scene for your festivities, wherever in the world you chose to host them.

As pay cheques roll in and new year’s resolutions creep slowly out of sight, the vision of this gleaming eight-cabin beauty may serve up a whole new set of motivations for the coming year. It is easy to see how Sunseeker have made their name as the crème de la crème of luxury brands, and their new model shines, setting a precedent for boating this year. Take a stroll down to the Royal Docks and behold the mastery of Sunseeker’s latest model, make an offer, or just take a photograph; we all need a little inspiration this January.
