Introducing: BMW Apollo Streamliner Concept

We are unashamed petrolheads here at The Gentleman’s Journal, but more often than not we hanker after four wheels rather than two. Perhaps it’s the elegance and ease of driving a car, or maybe it’s just that we can comfortably wear a suit whilst tearing through the South of France in a convertible. Whilst this is of course possible on a bike, the risk of a sudden downpour puts us off ever so slightly. One look at this thing changes all that though. The BMW Apollo Streamliner concept may just be the best-looking motorcycle ever penned.

Designed by Istanbul’s Mehmet Doruk Erdem, the Apollo Streamliner is just that, streamlined. It looks as though it would slice through air like a diamond-tipped knife, its swooping lines reminiscent of automobiles gone-by, yet the overall aesthetic manages to remain wholly contemporary.

This is perhaps thanks to a large v-twin engine and bulbous exhaust, which dominates the rear-end. Little details really elevate it too, including a vintage-looking brown leather seat, angling itself over the large rear wheel, with its wire spokes furthering the throwback feel.

Despite its beauty, there are no current plans to put the BMW Apollo Streamliner into production; it remains a concept, for now.
