When it comes to influential people, history has a plethora of extraordinary names to throw at us. A well-publicised name, Newton must be one of the most inspirational people to have ever lived. Not only was his radical thinking ground breaking and revolutionary, he also discovered gravity, and laid a base for all modern sciences. Inspirational? I think so.
2. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR.
Luther, arguably one of the most important names in the 20th century, fundamentally underpinned the mass movement of equal rights and inspired an entire generation to rethink racial equality. Need I say more?
3. CHARLES DARWIN
Much like Newton, Darwin’s radical thinking not only propelled the entire theory of evolution to the forefront of people’s minds, but he also opened the world to the marvels and intrigues of the natural world. At a time when religion clasped the entire planet, he was undeniably brave, incredibly headstrong and inspirational beyond measure.
4. WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE
The most revered king of literature, Shakespeare’s writing grasped the very nature of humankind. An actor, playwright and poet, his works changed the way in which people thought, thus changing the entire English speaking world forever.
5. WOLFGANG AMADEUS MOZART
Although the list of inspirational classical composers is long, Mozart can be considered the greatest. Not only was he a prodigy of incredible talents, composing since the age of five, he also perfected and developed the Classical mode, forming the basis for music nowadays.

Churchill, the man who won the Second World War, is one of the most important figures in modern history. Not only did he inspire our nation to be impervious in the face of danger, he did so for the entire allied forces as well. A formidable politician and outstanding gentleman, Churchill was one of the greats.
8. ALBERT EINSTEIN
The advances Einstein made in science are beyond measure, the greatest scientist since Newton, Einstein’s theory of relativity still reigns as one of the most influential scientific breakthroughs in history. Not only was he a formidable scientist, he was also an active voice for human rights, campaigning for a more peaceful world.
9. NELSON MANDELA
No list looking at the most inspirational people of all time would be complete without the inclusion of Mandela. Perhaps the most famous champion of equal rights, his headstrong pursuit against apartheid changed history. And even after 27 years in prison, he could not be broken. Inspirational? I think so.
10. MOTHER TERESA
Fundamental to the prosperity of all, Teresa chose a voluntary life of poverty in order to help others. Instigating entire generations to selflessly aid others, she was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979 and is the most recent person to begin the canonization process and will one day be a Saint.
