Though not traditionally thought of for their pilot watches, Zenith actually have a rich aviation history and this new Pilot Montre D’Aeronef Type 20 GMT 1903 from Zenith is yet another example of just how right they can get it. Balancing modernity and retro-distressed, Zenith have created an timepiece that is creating lots of traction in the world of watches. Paying tribute to the Wright Brothers’ 1903 first flight on Kitty Hawk beach, this watch has a 48mm titanium case surrounding an Elite Dual Time Calibre 693. Aesthetically, the 1903 is distressed yet clean and stylish, with Arabic hour markers, beige coloured suede strap and five-time sandblasted dial. On the inverse, wearers will find the mark of the Zenith Flying Instruments logo and the Wright Flyer I in mid flight.
This timepiece is, of course, limited edition with only 1,903 being made and makes a welcome addition to the Zenith pilot watches., For more information, visit Zenith
